|Open Science Days
June 6-8, 2019 in Sopot
Open Science Days, which are organized by the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Sopot Science Society and the Experyment Science Center in Gdynia will be held on 6-8 June 2019.
On the first day, June 6, we invite young ocean explorers, aged from 5 to 18 (different age groups) to participate in a scientific conference entitled Where the world is heading? We want young students or groups of young students at all education levels to present their thoughts and/or marine environment research results.
On June 7, we invite students and doctoral candidates to submit their presentations as part of an International Sopot Youth Conference entitled Where the world is heading, organized by the Sopot Science Society in cooperation with the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, for 11 years already.
On June 8, on the day of the World Oceans Day, we meet at the Plac Przyjaciół Sopotu as part of the Sopot Science Day entitled "Ocean of changes". During the picnic, everyone will have the opportunity to learn about the current state of knowledge about the oceans, with particular emphasis on the Baltic Sea environment. All classes and shows will be interactive, with many games and puzzles.
So, in June, we will see each other in Sopot! All events are open and free.
