On Saturday, June 4, the Polar Festival, organized by the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, was held in Warsaw. More than a dozen Polish universities and institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences conducting polar research have organized their stands in the Amphitheater of the Wolski Cultural Center. Lectures and film screenings completed this science picnic.

IO PAN presented at the stand a film about the melting of glaciers from the 'ocean book' (Paulina Pakszys), lecture by J.M. Węsławski about biodiversity in the Arctic, a roller with the OCEANIA and a biogeographic competition on the board.

About 1000 people visited the festival, and at our stand we distributed all 100 pieces of the guide
